Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is based on the theory that thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviours are all interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can lead to the development and maintenance of a vicious cycle. The aim of CBT is to help you change these negative patterns to improve the way you think, feel and behave.

Emotional Freedom Technique

Also known as Tapping, is a powerful resource to release negative emotions. This technique was founded by the American Stanford Engineer, Gary Craig, and it is based on the combined principles of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. It works by stimulating the body’s energy meridian points by tapping them continuously while you expose yourself to the negative emotions you want to release, in order to relieve emotional problems such: stress, chronic pain, addictions, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, and physical diseases.

Gestalt psychotherapy

is a form of psychotherapy that is centred on increasing a person's awareness, freedom, and self-direction. It's a form of therapy that focuses on the present moment rather than past experiences. It also involves taking responsibility rather than placing blame.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

When someone experiences a traumatic event, the thoughts, feelings and memories they have about that event can get stuck, and it can be hard to move on from them. The aim of EMDR is to help the brain to process distressing memories and find resolution. This will reduce their influence and allow you to develop ways to more effectively live your life.

Humanistic Integrative Therapy

Is a positive approach to psychotherapy that looks on the whole person with an emphasis on an individual’s positive traits and behaviours and their own innate ability to find wisdom, growth, healing and fulfilment within themselves.

Mindfulness based cognitive therapy

is an approach that combines the practice of mindfulness meditation with Cognitive Therapy techniques to help you break the cycle of negative thought patterns. MBCT teaches you to pay attention to the present moment, rather than worrying about the past or the future, and to calmly acknowledge and accepts thoughts, feelings, urges and bodily sensations.
